Oncology Rehab and Wellness Resources, LLC was established in 2013 as a response to the imperative need for specialized physical therapy services for cancer patients and survivors. Our practice is solely for those being treated for cancer, with a history of cancer - or living with cancer. Our staff consists of Physical Therapists who specialize in cancer rehabilitation and a full time Certified Lymphedema Therapist.

Our Story
Oncology Rehab and Wellness Resources, LLC was established in 2015 as a response to the imperative need for specialized physical therapy services for cancer patients and survivors. Our practice is solely for those being treated for cancer, with a history of cancer - or living with cancer. Our staff consists of Physical Therapists who highly trained in cancer rehabilitation and a full time Certified Lymphedema Therapist.
Because of the medical complications possible with cancer treatments and surgeries, we saw the need to ensure that cancer patients received the proper rehabilitation program that is both safe and effective for treating their condition.
Cancer surgery and cancer treatments are of course needed, but they can also cause functional and physical impairments that could potentially affect your ability to get back to your life - and enjoy the things you use to do. Our programs are designed to assist you to get back to living - whether you are living after cancer or living with cancer. Our highly individualized physical therapy programs are tailored to your individual needs, regardless of your functional level.

More About Us
We are not a multi-specialty clinic nor are we an orthopedic practice that also treats cancer patients. Our clinicians have experience and education in the special needs of cancer patients. We treat cancer patients and survivors - only. We are uniquely qualified to help you recover. We understand the need for safe implementation of a physical therapy program and we utilize established exercise programs based on evidence in the research to date. Our programs follow principles of exercise that are proven to be safe and effective for cancer patients and survivors.
It is our practice philosophy to schedule patients for evaluation and treatment as quickly as possible, most often in the same week. This is imperative especially with the suspected onset of lymphedema, as waiting to be evaluated and treated can mean the difference between a manageable (and at times reversible) condition or a lifelong disability. With any impairment related to cancer or cancer treatment, expedient treatment is essential to improved overall outcomes and recovery.
Direct Access Certified
Our clinicians are Direct Access Certified through the Virginia Board of Medicine. What this means for you is that you do not need an MD referral to see us for an evaluation. We review and coordinate your plan of care with your oncologist, radiation oncologist or other physician that you would like to oversee your care. This facilitates quicker access to physical therapy services.
